With over a decade of experience in planning and event management, Sarah has a proven track record of creating impactful and memorable events that foster community and support the mission of David’s Refuge. She combines her passion for helping others with her exceptional organizational skills to execute seamless events that make a difference.
Sarah’s journey in event planning began with a degree in Education and Human Development with a focus on Hospitality Management from Bowling Green State University, where she developed a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of the hospitality industry. She honed her skills working at the Toledo Zoo as the Special Events Coordinator where she enjoyed planning weddings and social events. After moving to Syracuse, she worked with the Woodbine Hospitality Group as the Banquet Manager where she was the Day of Coordinator for hundreds of private events, weddings, corporate clients and non profits, gaining invaluable experience in orchestrating a wide range of events from intimate gatherings to large-scale fundraisers.
At David’s Refuge, Sarah is known for her creativity, dedication, and ability to bring people together. She plays a pivotal role in organizing events that provide caregivers with much-needed respite and support, ensuring each event is thoughtfully planned and executed to perfection. Her vision and hands-on approach have significantly enhanced the reach and impact of the David’s Refuge.
Off the clock, Sarah loves spending time with her husband CJ and Son Chase, traveling, reading, and snuggling with her dog Penny.

My husband CJ and I actually just took our dream trip! 10 days in England and Scotland! Traveling with no timeline and enjoying life. We are still dreaming up our NEXT trip!
