About Kim
Kim is passionate about helping people. Over the years she has worked for Literacy Volunteers of America, the Department of Social Services, CrossRoads Community Church, a personal caregiver to the elderly, and a school bus driver and aide. She loved to inspire joy in individuals who achieved milestones beyond their expectations.
In August 2022, Kim was hired at David’s Refuge and grateful to continue eliciting happiness in people by way of engaging with families. In her role as Program Associate, Kim has her hands in each aspect of programming from recruiting and organizing volunteers to hosting information tables at events to following up with caregivers for respite weekends or activities they registered for. She is a beacon of genuine kindness and compassion in our organization. Having worked for nonprofits for over 25 years, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep dedication to service. Her peaceful demeanor and calm presence create a supportive environment where caregivers receive the utmost attention and care. Kim’s unwavering commitment to improving the lives of others is evident in every interaction.
You will find Kim’s loyal dog, Tucker, nestled beside her in her office. He is a senior Lhasa Apso that enjoys greeting everyone with a sniff and welcomes a pat on the head. He is a picture of tranquility and content to spend the day dozing. As a gentle companion he brings a serene presence to the office as David’s Refuge Mascot.
