How long have you been connected with David’s Refuge?
I’ve been involved with the organization for 8 years.

Please explain any diagnosis your child has, and you have experience with.
My younger daughter has Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. She has ADHD, and cognitive and emotional delays.

What is your favorite part of being a host?
I love getting to know other people and offering support and care.

What is something you want your guests to know about you?
I am a single mom and I adopted both of my girls through foster care. I teach preschool and am active in my church.

What is a piece of advice you have found invaluable as a family with experience in special needs or a medically fragile diagnosis?
Ask lots of questions and explore all types of help for your child. Make sure you are taking care of yourself!

Money — I would love to be able to donate to more worthy causes, travel more, and build my dream house.

The Bible has always been important to me.
