Dear Friends of David’s Refuge,

Over the past 12 years, I have written several 12 Days of Christmas blogs. My goal has been to give you some ideas for gifts that you can pass on to friends and family who are struggling to know what to give you for Christmas and the holidays. I fed some ideas into GPT Chat, and after some tweaking and editing, this is what we came up with.

On the 1st day of Christmas, here’s what I bring:
meal delivery service, so you don’t have to cook a thing!
Take a break from the kitchen, and rest your weary hands,
Let someone else do the cooking while you make your own plans.

On the 2nd day of Christmas, here’s something neat:
House cleaning help, so you can put up your feet!
I know you’ve been busy, and your plate’s always full,
So here’s a helping hand to make life a bit more cool.

On the 3rd day of Christmas, to help with the grind:
Gift cards for essentials, so you don’t fall behind.
From diapers to toiletries, to things you need in a hurry,
Here’s some extra help so you’re not in a worry.

On the 4th day of Christmas, here’s a treat to unwind:
massage or spa day, to rest your tired mind.
You’ve been doing so much, it’s time for some relaxation,
A little pampering to recharge for the next celebration.

On the 5th day of Christmas, I’ve got something dear:
scrapbook or memory book, to hold moments near.
Every little smile, every laugh and every cheer,
Now you can treasure those memories for years and years.

On the 6th day of Christmas, for comfort and play:
Toys and comfort items, to brighten a tough day.
Whether it’s a soft blanket or a squishy toy to hold,
Here’s something to bring warmth when the world feels cold.

On the 7th day of Christmas, here’s a gift with a smile:
Fundraising love, to help you go the extra mile.
I know that times are hard, and bills can add up,
So here’s a little support to fill your love cup.

On the 8th day of Christmas, here’s a gift for the soul:
Books and audiobooks, to help you feel whole.
Take a moment for yourself, let a good story take flight,
So you can escape for a while, even if just for the night.

On the 9th day of Christmas, here’s a chance to refresh:
Gift cards for entertainment, to give you a little rest.
A movie night, a new show, or music to set the mood,
Here’s something to help lift your spirits and change the mood.

On the 10th day of Christmas, here’s something just for you:
Personalized gifts, to show my love is true.
A special memento with a personal touch,
To remind you that you’re loved so very much.

On the 11th day of Christmas, here’s what I’ll do:
Time with the siblings, to make their day too!
They may need some love and a little fun to share,
So I’m here to help them feel special and show them you care.

On the 12th day of Christmas, here’s a gift for your heart:
A Weekend at David’s Refuge, to give you a fresh start.
For all the days you’ve carried so much on your own,
Here’s some emotional support to help you feel known.

Be brave, pass on a link to this post, and let everyone know what you would like. If you could add one more day to our list, what would you ask for?  Maybe it will help someone else develop some ideas for this wonderful holiday season.

Merry Christmas.
